If you're citing an article or publication that was originally issued in print form but that you retrieved from an online database, you should type the online database name in italics.For a single page, mark it with the abbreviation "p." before the page number. For a span of pages, use "pp." Example: pp.List page numbers of sources efficiently, when needed.
Indent the second and subsequent lines of citations by 0.5 inches to create a hanging indent. Double space all citations, but do not skip spaces between entries. Label the page Works Cited - do NOT italicize the words or put them in quotation marks. It should have the same one-inch margins and last name, page number header as the rest of your paper Always begin your Works Cited page on a separate page at the end of your paper. Use italics throughout your essay to indicate titles of longer works and emphasis only when absolutely necessary. Create a header that numbers all pages consecutively in the upper right-hand corner, one 1/2 inch from the top and flush with the right margin. Indent the first line of each paragraph one half inch from the left margin. Set all margins of your document to 1 inch. Leave only one space after periods or other punctuation. Double-space your text, and use a legible font (like Times New Roman). Click and drag the rectangle back to the left margin (0.00). Click and drag the triangle to the half inch (0.50) mark.

In Google Docs you will need to use the ruler to set up your page for a hanging indent.Remember, if Professor Laurie's instructions require something other than strict MLA format, follow your Professor's instructions!
